I'm near Portland - I know a few others are around here, someone's in Albany I think. And some in Washington, mostly Seattle metro I think.

I've gone to the Willamette Writers conference in Portland a few times but don't think I met any of you there. Nope, I'm wrong - I met Alex Adams there when "White Horse" came out and she was speaking about it.

I did meet Jamie Ford when he came to do a book tour for "Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet," and I ran into someone else from here through a mutual acquaintance one time ...

I've gotten so much from AW - it would be nice to see a few of you in person.

I am up for this. Portland seems to be a nice, neutral location. I might also love to go to Albany when the carousel opens for business.

I have an idea about location on the coast if that's what's desired -

http://oregonwriterscolony.org

It's a house for rent by the Oregon Writers Colony. You have to be a member to use the house. $40/year and then the house is just $20/night for each person, I think.

Portland might be easier to get to in the autumn and winter, though. Sometimes crossing the Coast Mountains is tricky during winter.
