I think that illustrates the dangers of herding from a helicopter. Using horses and dogs suddenly seem much safer bets. Or at least less fiery ones.

These cattle stations are pretty big.

I used to know a couple with a Rottweiler named Lucifer. That thing was huge. It was unreasonably huge. Well, one day, Lucy got loose and ran into oncoming traffic. Head-to-head with a car.

Lucy shook himself, car had a dent the size of an unreasonably huge Rottweiler in its hood.

Then the pilot should make an effort to stay a little higher, or a little further back. It's not like cows are known for their jumping prowess. Cattle charging a helicopter, sure, but regardless of stories about jumping 'over the moon', if a cow can jump up and reach your helicopter, I'm betting you're flying too low.

I want to know if chopper pilots and Ugg boot wearers are rioting in the streets and looting businesses? The how now brown cows and snakes are obviously free from criminal prosecution by Aussy authorities.

Here is the closest link I could find to the original report, and features a photo of the downed helicopter. However, in this version, the pilot is alleged to have struck the cow (not vice versa), whose horns may have tangled in the undercarriage of the craft. Definitely flying too low.
