Old fashioned oatmeal and a cup of hot tea. Too cold for anything else! --s6

I saw a chart on how to get best results with boiled eggs and decided to follow it. Hence, eggs and soldiers for brekkie. But they didn't turn out exactly as the chart promised.

Boiled egg charts don't seem to work right in my house. They promise a medium boiled egg (runny yolk, firm white) at 6 min, but the last time I put eggs into boiling water & took them out after 6 min., they were very soft boiled, with mostly wet & slimy whites. Yuck! I suspect there are a lot of embedded assumptions in the chart, e.g. how big are the eggs? how fresh are they? have they been sitting in the fridge or at room temp? It's so disappointing when eggs turn out badly.

Rye toast with peanut butter and sliced banana, and tea (my favorite Yunnan TGFOP from Upton) with milk.

Fried eggs with leftover twice-cooked pork & leeks

Doritos

Peach cheerios with milk. Black tea (Upton's Yunnan TGFOP) with milk.

Tomorrow: need to go to the store to buy more milk.

Biscuit and strawberry preserves.

Porridge (Yes, with milk and sugar ), tea, toast and marmalade.

Homemade biscuits, thick cut bacon, scrambled eggs and homemade hollandaise.

I called it my American Benedict.

Chicken and a baked potato

kolache with poppy seed filling and a cup of tea. My sister found the kolache at a bake sale. She said it was almost as good as Grandma's kolache and dern'd if it wasn't!

I got experimental this morning and had polenta slices with poached eggs, avocado, and salsa. It turned out decently enough.

1 slice of 9 grain toast w/butter and a cup of tea. The treat is a vase of pink and white sweet pea blossoms on the table. Inedible but gorgeous--s6

Second cup of coffee, coconut milk. But y'all making me hungry.

Tea, toast and butter but today is grocery day. Surely something different is in order. --s6

Pancakes, Bisquick mix. We mixed 2 Tbsp Maraschino Cherry juice and some Semi sweet chocolate chips with batter. Next time they might need more cherry juice, as they were pink, but not very cherry flavored. The chocolate chips made them yummy though.

Muesli with milk, ice coffee with half & half. Happy Monday!
