Happy New Year by time zone--when does it reach your place?

I'm about 17 hours away from The Moment. I may not still be awake that late. I have learned that it happens just fine even if I sleep through it.

About an hour and a half away from midnight here. I'm not doing anything to celebrate, though.

Just under two hours away from 2016 here. I'll probably be awake at midnight, even though tomorrow's alarm is set for 6 am.

About eleven and a half hours to go. We're ordering Chinese food and having wine. I won't be awake to see it in though.

I've officially happy new yeared here (an hour ago, sorry).

It's 2016 in Queensland. Yay! I can go to bed now.

Wow, so interesting to see the differences in times zones, lol! In the area of the U.S. I'm in, it's only 9:15am of Dec 31. Will be some time before New Year's, lol.

Just 2 mins after midnight!

Pacific Time Zone here. UTC-8. We're at 12:06 a.m now on Jan 1.

I didn't quite sleep through it. I woke to the muted sound of "pop! pop! pop!" outside and thought someone was hammering on a late night project and then remembered, oh yeah, firecrackers. New Year's. And then my cat got in the bed next to my spine (which is a rare occurrence, she usually finds a place with more "her space".) I slept again.
