*Camp started last week - Attendance down quite a bit, so far.

Possibly due to the heat and lack of shady spots to sit?

...But it's always in the mid to upper 90's down here this time of year.

Possibly due to increase in parking fees from $7 to $10?

Possibly due to the lack of bleachers?

Maybe folks are tired of having to lug their own seating and umbrellas around.

*Hubby is going on Thursday - Will post his observations on Friday. :Lecture:

Hubby has been going to the Camp since they started training in our town, and he went to the morning workout on Thursday - When I asked him if it was fun and if he was planning to go back several more times (like he did the last two years), his answer was: Meh.

Yep, the thrill is gone.

I'm from DC. I used to be a 'skins fan, but now have been labeled a "fair weather fan". That may be, but if I suck for twenty years, I expect no one will like me either and that seems only right.

And they should definitely change their name.

The last year the Redskins were any good was the year my husband and I got together. I know that all I need to do to break the spell is get a divorce, but it really seems like an awful lot of paperwork.

Could be rather costly too, Perks. ;)

So... Unofficial thought process:

RGIII is out of the league in ...

a) 1 season
b) 2 seasons
c) 5 seasons
d) some other team picks him up and he becomes the superstar he expects to be...
e) Other

Personally, I'm saying he's done after this season. Too injury prone and unreliable. But want to hear other's thoughts. :)

Hubby agrees with you, and frankly, has never been a fan - Thinks RG Me is too arrogant and self-absorbed.

RGIII out in...2 games? A girl can dream!
And totally agree Snyder should actually play a game or two. Not that JKC was a saint as an owner. I think Gruden's done a nice job so far though, although I'm not a Skins fan myself ;) !

Totally on the Change the Damn Name Already team.

As an outsider, I don't think much will change until Snyder backs off or sells the team and neither seems likely. This season is going to be an ugly mess with all the RG3 drama, though.
