That's too bad. I always looked forward to her books. She was very insightful.

Thanks for the post, Xelebes. Living here in the Pacific northwest where Ann Rule chose her real-life subjects, I followed her writings and personal troubles, some of which followed from writing about real local crimes committed by real local people.

I always liked her books. RIP, Ann Rule.

I absolutely love her true crime stories. Small Sacrifices. Dead by Sunset. Stranger Beside Me. She was brilliant.

This.
I met a true crime writer at a writers' conference once who was so annoyed by her success above all others. lol How sad. :-( She was 84 though.
