    Lime Green Grocer, Inc. Issues Allergy Alert on Undeclared Soy in the Thai Delight Burrito

    Lime Green Grocer, Inc. of Seattle, Washington is recalling 783 individually wrapped Thai Delight Burritos, because it may contain undeclared soy.

    Thai Delight Burrito was distributed in the greater Seattle area by San Juan Salsa and Lime Green Grocer directly to the shelves of retail grocery stores.

    The Thai Delight Burritos would have been displayed in the deli sections in refrigerated cases. The product is individually wrapped, packaged ready to eat and in grab and go cases, and has the UPC 7 94025 00190 5. The recalled burritos have expiration dates of 1-24, 1-28, 1-31 and 2-4.

    Stone Mountain Pecan Company Recalls Certain Pecan Products

    The Stone Mountain Pecan Company is recalling 540 packages of the “Pecanettes” sold in 8-ounce packages, because the product has the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella.

    The products were sold in 8-ounce clear plastic packages, Lot code 4032A, with a “sell by date” of 12/30/15.

    At this time, Pecanettes with lot number 4032A are the only products affected by this recall. To date, there have been no reports of illnesses associated with this recall.

    Aron Streit, Inc. of New York, NY is recalling its .5 ounce packages of "Streit's Dark Chocolate Coins" because they may contain undeclared milk allergens.

    The product comes in .5 ounce mesh bags marked with Code:1814 on the label. The recalled "Streit's Dark Chocolate Coins" were imported by Streit's and distributed nationwide in retail stores.

    February 9, 2015 — Austin, TX — Whole Foods Market has recalled items prepared with a supplier’s ground cumin spice ingredient that may have contained undeclared peanut.

    Items that contained ground cumin spice subject to the recall were sold from January 14, 2015 through February 6, 2015. Not all items or all products were sold in all store locations.     February 12, 2015 — Real Foods in Kent, WA is initiating a voluntary recall of 356 cases (712 units) of Small Heart Strawberry Tray with Devonshire Dip, due to misbranding and undeclared allergens. The company was alerted to the issue by a retail operation selling the product, that the strawberry trays were incorrectly packaged with Buttermilk Ranch Dressing in place of Devonshire Dip. The Buttermilk Ranch Dressing contains egg and soy, two known allergens, which are not declared on the product label.

    I haven't heard about it. I get the recalls from the FDA food recall alert system. If I get one, it'll be here. Maybe it was just in that one store.

    Chocolate By Design Inc. Issues Allergy Alert on Undeclared Egg

    February 18, 2015 — Chocolate By Design Inc. of Ronkonkoma, NY, is recalling its Milk Chocolate “Assorted Character Icing Pops”, “Christmas Icing Pops” and “Triple Heart Icing Pops” because they contain undeclared eggs. The Icing Pops may also contain trace amounts of FD&C colors Yellow 5 or 6, Red 3 or 40, and/or Blue 1.

    The Milk Chocolate “Assorted Character Pops”, “Christmas Icing Pops” and “Triple Heart Icing Pops” were sold to several customers in New York, New Jersey and Virginia from September 2014 through February 1, 2015 for retail sales.

    The milk chocolate Icing Pops are made to order and sold in unmarked bulk boxes containing 24 assorted Icing Pops per box. Each Icing Pop is individually wrapped for retail sale in 2 oz. clear cellophane with a curl ribbon closure. The Icing Pops are not coded.
