Nice forum here.
My name is Van Scott. I'm mainly a gagwriter for cartoonists, but have also
sold some greeting cards (Oatmeal, Schurman, Renaissance, etc). Most of my sales to greeting cards were with a direct collaboration with a cartoonist who sold greeting cards to Schurman mostly, but a few other as well. She would send me the upcoming themes and then I would provide the lines for the card. I haven't done a lot of greeting cards in a while since it is more lucrative to write gags for cartoonists (freelance and syndicated).
Recently, I've started a magazine for freelance cartoonists and gagwriters.
Just wondering if anyone here has ever tried gagwriting for cartoonists or
sold greeting cards through a cartoonist/Artist?
