A federal judge ruled that the law banning same-sex marriages in PA is unconstitutional!

"We are a better people than what these laws represent, and it is time to discard them into the ash heap of history,” Judge Jones wrote at the end of his 39-page opinion.

In my county (Allegheny) the county court-house is closed, as it's election day here. (Primaries) But they're allowing folks to apply for marriage licenses online today.

It's...something I didn't think I'd ever see in this state.

Seconded. I lived in central PA as a teen; I'd... almost like to be a fly on the wall in some of my old acquaintances' houses at the moment, just so I could cackle gleefully at the wailing, gnashing of teeth, etc. Only (a) I don't think flies can actually cackle, gleefully or otherwise, and (b) honestly I'd just get depressed listening to the s*** that I'm pretty sure those people are saying, so I guess I'll stick to cheering from comfortably out-of-state for now.

Still. *goes back to cheering*
