Well if your boss suspects you were watching porn at work you will join the ranks of millions of other workers who not only happen upon porn by accident but tune in intentionally and be deemed by your superiors as one of the crowd. High-5's may well follow, along with a pay increase and promotion, and office of your own where you will be able to conduct further research into Latin lingo. So all in all, good going :)

Certain internet ad companies like Google adsense remember what is searched for on your computer and serve up ads to match search habits. Maybe someone else used your computer or maybe it was coincidental. Cookies give this info away to search engines. Best to use an incognito search window for searches that might be monitored.

More than likely you just got hit with a switching service redirect. They just sit and wait to redirect. Happened to my friend at the library. He went to the Red Sox site and one seriously hardcore porn site came up. he called the library attendant over to tell her what happened. Same thing happened to her when she tried. Best bet, delete your browser cache and then manually check your cookies and hand delete any that remain. Do this on your browser and operating system.


ETA: You may want to let your boss or tech support know what happened so they can check to make sure no viruses or Trojan Horses entered the network.
