Hi, fellow writers. I've been writing since I could hold a pen, so I'm not sure why it took me so long to sign up here. I'm glad to have finally found my way.

I'm unpublished so far. I tried self-publishing some short horror and got a few decent reviews, plus a a grand total of roughly three dollars. For now, I'm lucky enough to have lots of free time to devote toward a larger fantasy project, so my writing goal for this year is to try the traditional publishing route when my draft is all polished up and ready to go.

I'm also working on some memoir-style articles to pitch to my favorite sites, and I'm hoping to get the hang of Twitter and blogging sometime soon. I've got some lofty plans, but I'm starting to suspect I've found the right place to get the support and commiseration I'll need to stay motivated.

AW is a huge place, and there's a lot of information to be found here. Take your time and browse around to get a feel of the various forums.

Feel free to stop by Jed's Newbie Pub at the top of the New Members forum. It's a friendly place where you can hang out, have a virtual drink, and strike up a conversation with other members. If you are new to forums in general, or maybe a bit shy about posting, this is a good place to start.

Thanks for the warm welcome, everyone! It's great to see writers who are at so many levels all chatting together like friends. I can't wait to browse around the forums more and get to know some of you guys.
