Morning to all,
I am a new writer who recently finished an early draft of his first novel. I write detective fiction that contains a lot of humor. My novel is under the working title of 'Just Another Dick From Chicago'.
Besides writing, I am a huge history buff and would like to teach high school history one day.

Welcome to AW from a fellow historian! What period is your favourite? I am a sucker for Modern History, especially 20th Century. :)

I admire you for your willingness to be a teacher, especially for high school students! I think it is a profession that unfortunately is not getting rewarded as it should, at least here in Spain. Wish you the best of luck both in your writing and teaching careers :welcome:
