Spotted on Facebook.

http://www.roosterandpigpublishing.com/

Looks like they're just setting up shop, their website is hosted by Weebly.

Appears that Lor Rose may be the owner, though I couldn't find a FAQ regarding actual ownership anywhere.

The cover art shows a lot of distortion on many of the images used.

Site's registered to a Vicktor Bailey. His profile on LinkedIn lists his experience as:
Author/Owner at Rooster & Pig Publishing
Food Services Specialist at US Army
Receptionist at Rita Staffing
Accounts Payable Specialist at Action Group Staffing

in that order. Uses the pen name of Vicktor Alexander. All of his books have been published by R&P or Createspace. At least some of the R&P titles are reprints of books he originally published on CS.

ETA: At least one of his own works published by R&P has a 2012 print date and LinkedIn gives the company creation date as 2011. Did he recently decide to widen his business to authors besides himself? Also, on his Facebook (as Vicktor Alexander), he lists himself as "Co Owner (sic) at The Rooster & The Pig Publishing, Author at Silver Publishing and Art Director at The Rooster & The Pig Publishing."

I honestly couldn't tell if that meant they were the owners or two featured authors. The names are links to their own personal, author webpages and neither states that they are the owner(s) of R&P.

When you click on Lor there is a post explaining how the two of them named the publisher. That is what made it clear to me.

Lor Rose and Viktor Aleksander are listed as owners at the bottom right of the page

Thanks veinglory, I missed it. I wish publishers would include that kind of info on their FAQs page or have an 'about us page' that has more than a mission statement.

I must be tired, since I'm still not seeing it. :/ It wasn't until I did a search on Lor's blog that I saw R&P mentioned in an April 27th post. I should've noticed on the FAQ page that questions reference the contract should be directed to Lor, though.

Just weighing in here to offer up a little clarification.

Rooster & Pig was named for the Chinese astrological signs of Vicktor Alexander and Vicktor's original partner/co-owner at the press. Vicktor Alexander has never, to my knowledge, worked for Riptide Publishing (that's Aleksandr Voinov, and trust me, the two are very different people I had the pleasure of meeting at GayRomLit last year ^_-). Lor only recently signed on as a co-owner of Rooster & Pig. The name wasn't formulated on her Chinese astrology.

Lor has published several pieces with us and has been active on Twitter to promote Rooster & Pig for their relaunch. Vicktor was never published at Riptide, I don't believe. I just think there was some confusion between Vicktor Alexander and Aleksandr Voinov.

I hope that helps!

The website design is good but there are too many under construction pages for my taste. Also, I feel like its odd that there are gay, heterosexual, bisexual, and trans anthology call pages but not a lesbian one. Oversight perhaps? The writing for the blurbs seems up to snuff but the cover quality is highly uneven. It seems like they are going in the right direction for their relaunch but aren't there just yet. I'm interested to see how they continue to relaunch this press in the future.

Filigree, it seems as if only the owners have been published by this press thus far.

Wow they are new. I just heard of them today when I saw a book pubbed by them on Cover Reveals. Looks interesting though. Their offering include a lot of BDSM of late but it was the SFR menage that drew me to the page.

They don't pay their authors or even send statements in a timely manner, I've heard. They haven't published anything since July 2016. The owner has had a lot of health issues so it seems whoever is running it is in over their head.
