Youch, Porter! That sounds intense! Wouldn't it be better to stock up on stuff before winter and just wait indoors until the snow melts? That's what I would do.
But then, I've never experienced more than half an inch of snow.
That surprises me ... I always thought SA was close enough to the antarctic to get snow. I should brush up on my geography. There are a lot of things I should brush up on.

No, you're not wrong. We do get snow - quite a lot of it on the mountains and higher elevations. We even have a ski resort. http://www.tiffindell.co.za/

Hey! Where has everyone been? I've rolled my walker up and down these halls looking for you guys. Anyway, I'm glad to see the site up and running again and all your smiling faces. 
Speaking of my walker, I may have to give it back to the VA. On March 12, I get a new hip socket at McKenzie-Willamette in Springfield.
