Ah, the luxury of being an old fart, one who isn't broke: just turned the air conditioner on. Our first 80[sup]o[/sup]F day of the year.

Remembering family heroes at rest who served:

Great Uncle Ernest: US Army, Cuba, Spanish-American War
Great Uncle John, US Army, Germany, World War I
Grandfather: US Marine Corps, North Atlantic, World War I
Grandfather: US Army, France/Germany, World War I
Father: US Navy, Samoa, World War II and Sea of Japan, Korean Conflict
Uncle Don, US Army, 38th Parallel, Korean Conflict

These century sisters are attending graduation ceremonies at Canton South High School in Canton, Ohio, from which they all once graduated.
Hazel in the middle is 104. Irene on the left is 102. Of course--shallow as I am--I go for the young chick. Ruth on the right is only 100.

I've never been to Canton, Ohio. I'd like to sometime, though.

I'm just hanging out while I wait for my melatonin to kick in. It's been a busy day. I shot footage for my next video, did two loads of laundry, cleaned, updated the blog, and got some plants potted. Not bad for a day off.
