So I have a funny story to tell about different generations.
Several years ago, I got a call from my oldest son when he was still in High School.
He said, "Dad, I'm locked out of the car."
I asked, "What'd you do, lock your keys in the car?"
"No, I have the key, but the battery is dead in the key fob." (He had one of those keys that worked the ignition but the fob was used to remotely lock/unlock the door and open the trunk.)
"So just unlock it then."
"DAD! They battery is dead, I can't unlock it!"
I shook my head. "Oh son. Are you standing by the car?"
"Yes."
"Look at the driver's side door. Do you see the metal circle on the door with a slot in it?"
"Ya."
"Insert the key into the slot and turn. It will unlock the car."
"Oh, NO WAY, Dad."
"Yes, son. Its how we used to lock/unlock our cars in the old day."
True story. The boy now is partial owner of a restaurant and manages the entire place. He still calls every so often asking me how to do something.
