Good discussion and, coincidentally, similar to a recent discussion in another mystery writing forum I participate in.

That forum is mostly experienced mystery short writers, and some felt POV shifts were fine if done well, others seemed quite negative.

The consensus of constructive advice was i) editors see lots of confusing POV submissons so make sure the POV shifts are clear and serve the story, and ii) don't shift POV inside the same scene.

One poster referenced a story he'd sold with five POVs. I'm a new writer myself and have a story out for submission with two POVs. I find the 4-POV story outline (in the OP) intriguing and creative. Best luck with it.
