You'd think with so many people walking down Sesame Street it'd be Tahini Street by now, right?
Great question....I was going to make tahini sauce for falafels yesterday but do you know how expensive tahini is (very)??
Not sure Mr. Hooper could carry it if he wanted to stay in business based on the sales price

Do you know how easy tahini is to make?
Toast a cup of sesame seeds in a cast iron skillet (or any thick bottomed pan) until golden brown. Throw them in a food processor, add olive oil as needed (a teaspoon at a time) and run on high until it reaches your preferred consistency.

Isn't this what you get for not encouraging refugees from countries like Syria to resettle in your country?
I have a great Mid-East food market a few blocks up the road from my house. Tahini is about the same price as peanut butter, the good stuff too, not the bitter stuff you get in most supermarkets, makes great hummus.

Have you tried some of the amazing 'Food Trucks' in major cities where you can get some of the best authentic ethnic foods?
Had falafel pitas and salad with tahini sauce in Philly that was out of this world....thus the tahini sauce quest. Irregardless, the current administrations policies are completely demoralizing

You mean people who eat hot dogs made of vegetables instead of whatever was left on the floor after the good bits of meat were gone?
Did you ever notice that vegetarian foods are often contrived into the shapes of meat (ie, hot dogs, burgers, bacon, ground beef, etc.) ?
Was that the one where Ferrous Bueller is bitten by a spider while visiting Chernobyl and turns into Iron Man?
