Toast a cup of sesame seeds in a cast iron skillet (or any thick bottomed pan) until golden brown. Throw them in a food processor, add olive oil as needed (a teaspoon at a time) and run on high until it reaches your preferred consistency.

I have a great Mid-East food market a few blocks up the road from my house. Tahini is about the same price as peanut butter, the good stuff too, not the bitter stuff you get in most supermarkets, makes great hummus.

Had falafel pitas and salad with tahini sauce in Philly that was out of this world....thus the tahini sauce quest. Irregardless, the current administrations policies are completely demoralizing
