works that are similar to mine

I'm fine tuning my query letter and would like to be able to give a prospective agent an idea of where my story is coming from by naming some novels that share some similarities. Is there a particular place here on AW that would be a good fit for posing a question, asking if anyone can think of a historic novel where friends become enemies or of a love triangle where a man must choose between two women?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
