I have been reading posts for a while now. I was offered four publishing contracts and looked up information on Absolute Write before making a decision to go with one.
However, I noticed on a post that someone else posted a comment and in their article said that this publisher offered them 15% on their printed book but I was only offered 10%. I tried to negotiate a better royalty and asked if I could submit my own cover art but never heard back from them. It has been a few weeks.
What should I do?

From my understanding, different publishers offer different rates. You weigh this with what they offer and their reputation.

There could be valid reasons why you have not heard back yet. I would give them a couple of more weeks and then send a follow up letter giving them a deadline, (if you feel that is what you have to do.) If you still do not hear from them, move on...
