Off in my head.
I am going on a trip to the Netherlands for 90 days, around Oct-Feb, as soon as the ticket details are worked out it'll be a more concrete time frame, but it'll be in those months.
So does anyone recommend any books or sights and events to see?
I'll be staying in Dieren, so things in that area would be great, too!
I have a couple of travel guides and books, but would love tips from those living there and those who have also been there.
Thanks!
<I wasn't sure where to put this.>

hi Roseangel did this trip already happen? I'm originally from California but I live in the Netherlands now. We can chat more if you want some info for your trip!

Love the Netherlands (though I really know only Amsterdam). If staying for a while, I say avoid hotels, take a flat and live like you LIVE there! I get great pleasure out of feeling a part of the local scene, stumbling on interesting cafes, great chats when suddenly caught in the rain and sharing the shelter of a fortunately placed awning, etc. Have a great trip (if not long over ;-)

Off in my head.
Loooong over, it was ok.
Stayed with someone I knew during it, it was actually my third trip.
This trip we went to a water-activities type park for three days, that was fun.
Went for a hike in a wooded area with a guy who talked about local wild life and so on.
