'Let it snow' was working for me yesterday, but not today.

Have Google removed the Easter Egg?

Alas, that particular method for executing a particular Google Easter egg has been removed.

But

You can get the same one by typing

z or r twice

It's an allusion to the game Star Fox.

I like writing in the foggy window afterward

I have figured out that it works in the Firefox browser, which is what my laptop at home is running.

It doesn't work in Internet Explorer, which is what my PC at work runs.

Depends on your browser settings too, one supposes. It works fine in K-Meleon, but an accidental mouseclick of the wrong flavor left me hunting for a way to close the window. Nothing worked short of Ctrl-Alt-Del KILL!

Which version? The newer ones are much more standards compliant than the older ones, and enterprise is pretty slow to upgrade.

I'd be curious which mobile browsers it works on. Shows up fine on Safari on iOS.

You need support for HTML 5 for the let it snow Easter egg.

Notice, by the way, the Star of David Hannukah bunting on Google's search pages.

My work PC is running Internet Explorer 8, which I thought was the current version, but no one can get the Let It Snow Easter Egg.

It might be we have an over-efficient firewall or some such which is blocking unauthorised programmes.

9 is the latest. If you have automatic updates enabled you'll soon have it. Otherwise you can download it if you want.
