It's bright and sunny here in Rhode Island. A little windy and cold, but not bad. Nice to see you again, Joanne!

28, windy, spitting snow in western NY state. Kind of dicey driving this morning, but the roads are only wet now, not icy.

Maryn, who doesn't have to go out again today--yippee!

Sunny, windy, 50-60's range here in the Dallas area. I still miss snow in the winter, though. Down here the leaves turn color the last 2 weeks of November, and then suddenly it's 'winter'. But after years down here, it still doesn't seem like Christmas season without the snow.

A bit further south of Pat it's sunny skies, light breeze and a balmy 73 degrees. I agree with the "snow" comment. Hard to feel Christmas-y when I'm in a tee shirt and still warm... :(

Com'on down, and then after you get warmed up, you can help me decorate this pathetic needle-dropping artificial Christmas tree! (Miss those real trees, too, but the husband's allergic.)

70 degrees. dew point is low, humidity is low. not a cloud in the sky and a slight breeze. A perfect day.

We get snow year 'round via miami. Stuffed seat cushions in speedboats.

60's today. Warm front moving in so we'll hit 80-84 tomorrow.

At least that's Fahrenheit and not Celsius.

I hope Santa passes your house this year.

That was cold Batman.

I feel your pain Rob. It's cloudy here, round 65 degrees. I'll actually have to wear a sweatshirt when I go to work. Bla.

Hmmm, alright, you've convinced me. I'll be over soon.

It's sunny in Northern California Bay Area today, too, with temperatures in the 50's to 60's range. Yesterday we had a downpour for most of the afternoon, so today the air smells really fresh.

I was in Illinois last week, and over my visit we had weather ranging from 50's down to 14 with wind chill factor in the negatives, snow, rain, bright sunshine, and 60's when I left. In Illinois, if you don't like the weather, wait a few minutes.

As for Christmas and snow, I hear you. I like to visit the snow, too. My sister lives in Arizona, and their Christmas Eve tradition is to spend the evening in the outside hot tub with the portable blender for margueritas and the hibachi to grill up snacks. Every year they come up with something new to add to the experience (like floating candles in the swimming pool).

People in CA or FL cannot complain! I told my parents right off the bat when she started to say how cold it was in LA. Nope. No complaining until you get out and shovel the snow and salt the driveway in temperature lower than 32F.

I do miss snow, at least the kind that comes down in soft fluffy flakes.

I don't miss snow on days that the temperature hovers around freezing so that a nice slippery layer of ice forms on top, or snow immediately followed by rain that makes a thick layer of wet slush to slog through (aka Boston snow).

I'm not complaining, it's just that every time I visit Illinois in winter I remember why I moved to California in the first place. I find it very amusing out here to see people dressed in hats, gloves, scarves, and winter jackets when it's only in the 40's. Back in Illinois in winter, that's positively balmy. It's also fun trying to explain to native born Californians what wind chill factor means.
