... for The Sense of an Ending.

Has anyone read it? Is it just the book won or a joke?

I haven't read The Sense of an Ending but I did read a short story of his in The New Yorker this summer. I liked it so much I looked him up, have been meaning to pick up some of his books ever since. He's a great writer, and I'm sure the win is well-deserved.

I'm not a huge Barnes fan, but I read "The Sense of an Ending" last night and puzzled over it for ages before I got to that "Oh - I get it!" moment.

I'm sure people with a literary education will have gotten the point from the start, but for Little I it was particularly satisfying. So thanks, Julian Barnes. That was very nicely done :)
