Hey, guys! I'm new here...

I'm form Brazil and I've been writing since I was about eight. I'm so happy to have found this place and be able to just talk about writing. Being the only writer in my family (most of my folks are doctors... one of my aunts is a retired teacher and my mom is a lawyer. but that's it) and among my friends is a bit lonely.

By the way: does anyone knows if I can query two different agents from Writer's House? I know we have a thread for it but I thought I could ask here instead of possibly repeating something that has been talked to death at the thread (which I'm still catching up too.)...

Welcome!

I spent a summer living in Mandelieu-la-Napoule studying art when I was younger, but the fellow we'd brought along to teach us French went off on a drunken bender to Paris our second day there and never came back, so I'm afraid I never picked up more words than the bare minimum needed to navigate the train stations and grocery stores.

It was a beautiful place, though. Memories of a lifetime.

Welcome QueenViv! I totally understand being the only writer amongst your family and friends. I have the most difficult time explaining to them why I can't hang out on a Friday night (I have to write) or why I seem to be going crazy (I can't get an idea out of my head). That is one of the things I like the most about this place. Everyone here really understands.
