Hi, everyone!

I just wanted to finally come out of hiding and say a proper hello to all of you here on AW. I've been lurking for over a year now (!) and thought it was time.

Some really wonderful things are happening right now, and so much of that is due to this incredible board. I have learned so much, and want to start contributing as much as I can. So, thanks, you guys. So much. It's nice to be here.

I'm a stay at home mom of two who writes while the kids are at school and the hubby's at work and at night while everyone sleeps. Oh, and I write YA (and lots of grocery and other to-do lists).

Welcome.

Grocery lists? Yeah, I know that one. A few years ago I put a master grocery list on the computer (arranged in the order of the store I go to most often); I made it so it could be printed and carried in my Day-Timer (about 3"x6"). I just need to highlight what items I need. It's quick, and it helps me not to forgot something.

How cool! That's exactly the sort of project I love getting distracted by. But then I realise that it would be really neat if the things that I don't highlight (and therefore don't buy) get prioritised for next time. Just needs a little macro that I can knock together in an hour or so. Three days, pages of code, and one Visual Basic book later, the whole dam file gets hurled into the Recycle Bin in disgust. Now there's an idea. Wouldn't it be cool to have a sort of Super-Delete button on the keyboard - when you press it a beefy hand appears on your screen, picks up the offending file, scrumples it up, pummels it, torches it, and slam-dunks the remains into your Recycle Bin icon. Wouldn't that be satisfying? Just needs a little macro...

Oh wait. Yes, there was a reason for being here. Welcome soopykun!

Welcome to AW. Hope you enjoy your stay with us.
How do you like your popcorn?

If you go to the bottom of the page to the ‘forum jump’ you can scroll down and find all the areas of this place. Most of the SYW areas require the password of ….vista. A word to the wise, (50 posts), it would be a good idea to participate first in helping others before you think about posting your own work. After you have been around here for awhile, then post something of your own for help. Good luck.
