I never do NaNo, for the same reason as others have said. Too much going on. That said, I started a novel in late October and reached 18,300 words on Monday. Unfortunately, the wall-to-wall prep for company began yesterday. Hard to see having any time to write before Nov 26.

Happy Thanksgiving, all! I apologize for not checking in here that much. But I am thankful for all of the other Christian authors out there who are trying to share the message.

I'm neck-deep in the fourth round of revisions of my YA dystopian. Walking the tightrope between enough worldbuilding and info-dumping. Gah.

Also, my 3rd book hits stores this Friday.

Hi, I'm baaack (said in an Arnold S. growl)!

Had a rough January with health issues, but I'm perking along on Book #3 of the Faith Box. #2's edits are done, the cover mock-up looks great, and it's on track to release sometime in April.

What's everyone else been doing? I hope you haven't been having too much fun without me!

Well, I've officially and completely abandoned the CBA (four novels dead in the water, and there's no love lost between either of us).

Since then Chip has been querying my new suspense/thriller series to the general market, and getting some welcome interest.

That's about it.

Welcome back, Deb!

Veiled Threat (Falcone & Driscoll Book 3) hit stores Feb 8th. Had two fun book launches in 2 different cities.

My religious horror got a form R from a CBA e-only imprint that claimed it wanted "edgy". Muahaha! They haven't met Lily's version of Edgy. :evil

Gravity, good luck!

I have to wait until after April 15th - I work at a CPA firm, and my brain is totally fried until I'm done with tax prep.

I do have a little project percolating on the back burner, however. ;)

Glad you;re back, Deb! I haven't been here much either due to hubby's health issues.

I got 2 chapters into a new group project and someone backed out so the whole thing is on hold.

Need to go on to the next thing.

In January I brought my novel-in-progress up to around 60,000 words, with four chapters to go. February has been a bust, with out of down travel and they busyness of life. The first part of March doesn't look much better. The book stands at 62,000 words, with 3.7 chapters to go. It looks like it will come in at a little under 70,000.

*sets Big Ben-style alarm clock ringing to wake up thread*

Accomplishment from the NE version of the Frozen Tundra: Last night I sent the re-re-revised YA ms off to The Agent. May this finally be the version the publishing gods smile upon.
