So my last online community up and vanished thanks to the dedicated efforts of overseas hackers who pillaged the site. Hopefully A.W. has better pickets and a few keen eyed sentries.

I live on the Outer Banks of North Carolina and write both short stories and novel length works. I've had some success publishing the short stuff, the longer remains to be "discovered" (to put it kindly). I'm an editor with Every Day Fiction (www.everydayfiction.com), an online flash fiction magazine that brings you a new flash story every day. Always happy to answer questions about flash fiction and help anyone who thinks they might like to submit a story.

I look forward to getting to know the community and participating in the give and take in some of the critique forums.

Take a wander around the various forums, there's lots to see and lots to learn, and even some fun threads too. Come along and pop on over to the Traditional Irish Pub (at the top of the Newbie forum) and say hi, there's plenty of friendly faces that you can chat with and lots of banter. There's also the Question of the Day threads at the top of the Newbie forum where you can answer random questions.

Don't forget to read the newbie guide, and if you want to know what all the buttons mean check out this thread.
