The story is about a boy who is stuck in a nautical fantasy world and his quest to get back home. It has elements of a mystery (he has to figure out clues to get home), an adventure (he has to escape and/or battle several strange creatures), and a ‘coming of age’ (from the final decision he has to make.) It’s 34,000 words.
I’m looking for a quick read through with maybe a couple of paragraphs of comments about the characters, the voice, the plot, motivations, if its interesting, if a scene is boring, etc… grammar and punctuation no. Not that I’m perfect, but at this stage of the ms, I think I need to be looking for that stuff, not a beta reader
