Ever have those days when nothing looks right?

Lately, every post, e-mail, and paragraph I write looks plain wrong to me. The voice is weird or the word choice is bad or the verb tense looks wrong or the sentence feels off somehow and I can't correct it without messing up something else. It's like one of those itches below the skin that you can't seem to scratch to find relief. Has this ever happened to you, and if so, how did you snap out of it?

Yeah. Sometimes I'll stare at a correctly spelled word and keep muttering to myself, "That can't be right."

I'm having the opposite. I'm writing really awesome-ly (don't laugh!) and feeling very confident.

I expect to be curled up in a fetal position in the shower sometime next week when reality comes crashing back around me.

... why not post a post you think is wrongly worded or whatnot in this thread so we can see if it really is so. And when you see that we don't see that it is you're confidence will surge and all will be fine again

No, the English language doesn't look right to me on any day. I don't try to do anything about it, though. That's just how I perceive the visual representation of the language. Well, maybe I did do something about it long ago: I accepted it as part of me. Heh.

You need to tell the editor in your head that you are busy creating right now and when and IF you want his/her/its advice, you'll freaking ask for it. Until then tell it to shut the hell up.
