I was introduced to PP&M in the late 60s-I was 10 in 1969. Her voice always rang true; it was sincere and authentic. Their music remained with me, even when I haven't heard it in years. I went to their 25th anniversary concert tour, when they came to Melbourne, Australia--the audience was full of baby boomers. It was good to hear both the old favourites and the contemporary protest songs & themes. When each of them had some time for audience interaction, Mary relayed the story of her daughter, who was all the way with Reagan, a conservative, and how different she seemed from Mary.
All around me those of significance in my youth are dying. For me, your music still resonates, and will always resonate. My heartfelt thanks.
I am diminished by your death Mary.
