Has anyone any dealings with Veritas Media?

So this brings the question of Veritas Media. Is it defunct?

Going by his AQ page, Veritas is the current agency. It's a moot point, though, given that he's not accepting unsolicited queries.

Harper Lee sues her agent

Apologies if this has been covered elsewhere, but I haven't seen it.

According to the lawsuit, in 2007 Pinkus "engaged in a scheme to dupe" Lee into assigning the novel's copyright without any payment and had since failed to respond to licence requests.

Yes, I saw that. May he fester and rot while his house [company] falls about his ears.

I hope Pinkus's every client examines his/her contract, seeks remediation where necessary and appropriate, and leaves his sorry ass.

The Guardian article I linked to makes me wonder if Pinkus is even an agent. As far as I can tell, he just took over his father-in-law's client list. At this stage I'm not sure if it's villainy or total incompetence, although it looks very much like the former, but either way he's not working in his clients' best interests.

If anyone was wondering, suit was settled late '13. No further activity for Veritas/Pinkus, and corp. dissolved '16.
