Hi Writing friends,
Does anyone have any information or experience with the Andrew McMeels publishing company they could share here?
The only thing I've heard about them is that a friend of mine had a book published through them, and she had a good experience (she received an advance, they seemed very fair, helped market the book, etc.) Anyone have any experience with them or further information or details?

I would ask your friend whether royalties are based on net or gross.

I too have met with them at conferences and see their books in shops. They are top-notch and I would welcome the chance to work with them.

I've been getting super encouraging rejections from them. I have another I'm waiting on, so I'm excited to hear back.

It took 9 months on one submission, then 7 months on the second. I just sent the third after 6 months of the second one, thinking it was a non response.

It takes them a long time, but I would be hopeful to hear back!
