This is the Looney Bin. Write anything in here poems, shorts rhyming sentences, haikui. You name it, write it.
True to the name, instead of alcohol or cookies, we have straight jackets and padded rooms!
Please keep this as family/kid friendly as possible!
I'll start:

Looney Bin,
our sanity thin.
Look around.
Towards doom
We're bound.
Looney Bin,
we are here
To stay.
Crazies unite,
together our
Plight.
Looney Bin,
oursiders fear,
Our folly is clear.

Alright Greeny, how crappy-dappy is this?

I don't do poetry
I suck really bad
I can't write well
I suck really bad
I came to the Looney Bin
I still suck really bad
But at least here I'll be welcomed

Tada! That's the absolute worst piece of written junk you've ever read in your life. It doesn't rhyme, it barely makes sense. :D

It's a good thing we have padded walls and straight jackets though. I think I'll need them both!

Well you get 2 minutes solitary confinment. To contemplate the fact that you don't suck bad. Maybe this can cheer you! haha
For Sneaky Devil:
Before you sleep,
You count the Sheep.
Before you wake,
The nightmares
Shake.
Before dawn falls,
Your dreams tell
All.
The reality ceases.
Butterfly kisses.
And many wishes.
Wake up.

hey you are not that bad,
the fact you think so is sad.
That you write at all makes
Me happy.
Even if you think your poems
are sucky.

CHEESY FACTOR ALERT! MAXIMUM CHEESY FEST TO FOLLOW!

When you are gone
I am in pain
When you are here
It is the same
I don't know how
This happened this way
I don't want you to go
I hate that you stay
So what do I do
When I feel so trapped
That sometimes I can't breath
My courage is zapped
I haven't the strength
To tell you the truth
But I know in my heart
That you know it too

Damn someone ring this girl up her own personal padded cell!
That was awesome Kerri! See, I promised you would be writing poems...
As Sneaky writes
what she knows
Best.
She'll learn that
I am right.
The courage
She has to
confess her hearts
baggage.
Strength is the adimatance
Of your hearts mishcance.

Just wanted to post a little joke for ya:

Two muffins are sitting in an oven
One says "Damn it's hot in here!"
The other looks at him and says "Holy crap a talking muffin!"

hahahahahahaha

How did Germany invade Poland?
.......
They walked in backwards and said they were leaving.

:ROFL:I went and brought myself down a bit with that last poem so I had to pick myself up a little bit again....but I'm working on something right now. The two of you have inspired me to at least try this poetry thing. :)

When his lips touched mine
I felt a shock
So sweet, so fine
This electric feeling
Running through my veins
Left me reeling
Never to regain
My senses when he came around
And when I heard his voice
All thoughts of the present
Blown away without a choice
To once again
Return to the time
When his lips first touched mine
To feel the want
Even though it was wrong
To tempt and haunt
For so very long
Always wishing
Always hoping
That it won't be the same
The next time we're together
But I wish and hope in vain
I can't deny
That it will always be
This way for me
So I say goodbye
And return to the same
As I had before
He ever came
But all the time I find
Myself thinking of his lips touching mine

Kerri as I had said before I love it!
Another one bits the fingers:
Crazed thoughts run amok,
In crazed notions you are stuck.
Walk through the corridor
Of your soul to remember.
Watch the crazy clowns,
As they bounce about town.
Watch the children laugh
At the Zoo’s giraffe.
Where did the happiness go?
How did we lose what we
Thought we know?
When did you replace
Humor and fun;
With attitudes so rotten?
When did you stop listening,
To your own hearts beating?

I liked that greeny. And thank you both for the encouragement. Brad, when do we get to see some of your work? Um, maybe you should like at post #584 in the pub, I think there's something there for you. :)

Here everyone I did another poem about my silly butterfly kisses...
<giggles> I just can't help it

Her lashes against his cheek
Are light as a feather
When she blinks
Her eyes in that fluttering way
It melts his knees
He can't help but stay
To figure out
Just what it is
About this simple act
That has him so flustered
She parts too soon
It breaks his heart
But before she goes
A gift she imparts
His heart races
His face flushes
As she turns away
She smiles and blushes

I have some old stuff, some of it rhymes. I have one I'm still working on and its rough and needs work, but I like it, at least the concept. It needs formatting mostly.

I like that one a lot, too, Sneaky. See, you girls are poetic in nature and it comes through. It takes me a long time to come up with a poem and you guys are able to speak your hearts, that's a good quality when it comes to words.

Here's an oldie, and one I more or less wrote on the spur of the moment after seeing someone in a grocery store.

It Wasn't You

I saw someone today
who reminded me of you

Make-up on a face turned
false inside and out
Colored hair
hiding faded glory
Enhanced cleavage
straining fabric tight
A ring to conceal
solitary existence
Lying to the world
of being alone
A young woman's desire
in a body waning
A young girl's dreams
seen through old woman eyes

I saw someone today
who reminded me of you…

but it wasn't…

I agree with Brad, your work is good. I don't know if I can say that I'm poetic in nature. But yes I speak my heart/mind. Even the bad ones, I must admit.

thank you, that was how I was feeling at the moment after dating this woman from Kentucky for six months and then finding out she wasn't what I thought when one of her emails not intended for my eyes got misdirected to me. It hurt...

I liked that a lot Brad!
ETA: And sorry to hear about what happened. Getting hurt is never easy, unfortunately. And unfortunately it sometimes happens far too often.

And hey I can only take partial credit for my poems. It's mostly because of you two that I'm even trying this, because you encouraged me to try. I like trying new things and seeing if they suite me or not. I must admit, I'm rather enjoying this. :D
