Is this Fantasy, Sci-Fi, other? What is the Genre?

Hi!

My WIP involves shamans using elemental magic (fire, water, earth and air) and preternatural senses in contemporary society (specifically Canada) serving as a paranormal police force (particularly exorcisms of individuals who have met violent deaths, restoring lucidity to the mentally handicapped, awakening comatose patients, etc).

I am very confused as to what the genre of the story should be? Sci-Fi, fantasy, or something else?

Nah, just call it "urban fantasy thriller". "Supernatural" is often expected in the urban fantasy, and once you start explaining things in your query they'll figure it out very quick. Good luck!
