Can't link?

I can usually write the title of my post in the blog updates thread and then highlight the post, click link to, and then type the URL, but recently, the thread hasn't let me link my post. Anybody have any clue what might be wrong?

usually I highlight the words I want to "be the link, then I click the toolbar button that says "insert link" where I type the url. Normally, up until the past few days, once I clicked ok after typing the URL, my highlighted text would become a link to my blog. Now, after I type the URL and click ok, I go pack to my post, but all it is is regular text...no link. Does this describe it better?
