Tomorrow Is Today
Billy Joel
I've been livin' for the moment
But I just can't have my way
And I'm afraid to go to sleep
Cause tomorrow is today
People tell me life is sweeter
But I don't hear what they say
Nothing comes to change my life
So tomorrow is today
I don't care to know the hour
Cause it's passing anyway
I don't have to see tomorrow
Cause I saw it yesterday
So I listen for an answer
But the feeling seems to stay
And what's the use of always dreaming
If tomorrow is today
Still I'm waiting for the morning
But it feels so far away
And you don't need the love I'm giving
So tomorrow is today
Oh, my. Goin' to the river
Gonna take a ride and the Lord will deliver me
Made my bed, now I'm gonna lie in it
If you don't come, I'm sure gonna die in it
Too late. Too much given
I've seen a lot of life and I'm damn sick of livin' it
I keep hopin' that you will pass my way
And some day if your dreams are leavin' you
I'll still believe in you
I don't care to know the hour
Cause it's passing anyway
I don't have to see tomorrow
Cause I saw it yesterday
Though I'm living and I'm singing
And although my hands still play
Soon enough it will all be over
Cause tomorrow is today

Throw Down the Sword = Wishbone Ash

Awesome! I was just listening to this, and since it features one of my top two all-time favorite solos, I had to listen to the other one afterwards:

Kill - Tank

It's a New Wave of British Heavy Metal song, but it has a solo that brings a tear to my eye (and makes it really hard not to go "Fuck yeah!" by the time it's over.)

The lyrics are just brutal though, haha:

I'll tell it to your body
Piercing skin with a power drill
I'm running through you honey
It's time for some blood to spill

I'll hold you underwater
Throw in the fire and turn it on
Decapitate and slaughter
It's easy just to use a gun

Do you remember
When I walked your hand
Do you remember
That I felt so bad
That you'd been blown away for good

Kill! The poor bastard's dying
Kill! The poor bastard's dying
Kill! The poor bastard's dying
Kill! The poor bastard's dying

She's lost all sense of feeling
As her leg falls on the floor
I never heard the screaming
Of breaking hands in a slamming door

The hand is burned and peeling
Melt it right down to the bone
The carcass is still bleeding
And the face will remain unknown

Do you remember
When I walked your hand
Do you remember
That I felt so bad
That you'd been blown away for good

Kill! The poor bastard's dying
Kill! The poor bastard's dying
Kill! The poor bastard's dying
Kill! The poor bastard's dying

Kill! And no one else here to blame me...

There's nothing left but a clawing hand
The smell of death, decomposing glands
The woman's spine is snapped in two
No more eyes for her to see through

Do you remember
When I walked your hand
Do you remember
That I felt so bad
That you'd been blown away for good

Never again to walk through your face

Kill! The poor bastard's dying
Kill! The poor bastard's dying
Kill! The poor bastard's dying
Kill! The poor bastard's dying
Kill! The poor bastard's dying
Kill! The poor bastard's dying
Kill! The poor bastard's dying
Kill! The poor bastard's dying

Keep on by Alfa Mist.

It's some of the best new jazz I've heard recently. The guy is just 24 years old! The way he blends hip-hop with jazz improvisation is great. There are so many layers to his music. If you like piano, saxophone and whip-hop beats, you should check it out!

Little Sway by Andrew Jeremy from the Coffee Talk original soundtrack. Such an endearing video game and the soundtrack provides the perfect lofi ambiance for writing or even lounging.

"White Rabbit"
---
One pill makes you larger
And one pill makes you small
And the ones that mother gives you
Don't do anything at all
Go ask Alice when she's ten feet tall

And if you go chasing rabbits
And you know you're bound to fall
Well, tell 'em a hookah, a smoking caterpillar
Has given you the call
Call Alice when she was just small

When men on the chessboard
Get up and tell you where to go
And you've just had some kind of mushroom
And your mind is moving slow
Go ask Alice, I think she'll know
When logic and proportion have fallen sloppy dead
And the white knight is talking backward
And the red queen, she's off with her head
Remember what the dormouse said
Feed your head, feed your head, feed your head

As hard as I try, I can't get All Eyes on Me from Bo Burnham's newest Netflix special out of my head. It just plays on a constant loop.

Currently listening to Gregorian’s cover of Boulevard of Broken Dreams. Because why listen to edgey teen angst when you can listen to epic fantasy angst?
