The human experience and Love. They cover everything else under the sun.

...telling you that you could write on only two subjects, what two subjects would you choose? ...and why?

Love - almost every story is a love story in some form.

conflict - man is conflict - wars - man vs. nature, man vs fellow man, man vs himself.

Doorways and nutjobs.

Doorways because you're either coming or going through one, and there's a story in either case.

And nutjobs because that pretty much covers all neuroses; again, stories that interest me.

I was gonna say life and death, but after reading these I'd go for People and Cultures, because that covers everything I might wanna write about from my worldview :)

It's interesting what our choices say about our worldviews, I think. Because we're all choosing topics that, from our perspectives, cover everything interesting :)

Love and betrayal. Don't know why betrayal but it's a theme in everything I write. Seriously. And I don't do it on purpose.

I agree with Shweta. I should rep her. :)

Betrayal is interesting. I think I lied, above, because my magic isn't necessarily people or cultures, unless we allow mythology as part of culture, which... I'll do! So there we go.

I'd be more honest, though, if I said boundaries and halfbreeds :D

ETA: And you can rep me anytime, baybeh!

Love and loss. Love covers relationships, which is a major thing for me. And a lot of things stem from that. I seriously think love probably accounts, in some way or other, for most character motivations. And loss causes a lot of the drama in my stories, people who feel like they've lost out on something, or who really have lost someone or something, or think they're going to.

My people's hypocrisy.

My nation's meretriciousness.

That's pretty much it. That's enough rage to keep me going for a good 30,000 words.

Life and Fantasy.

See, for Life, that covers everything real, including our history.
For fantasy, that includes pretty much all our fiction. Those two together, I can write on everything I am writing now, and possibly every subject I would ever want to write on

Conflict, because we thrive on adversity. It is at the heart of everything we do as a species, all our actions. Especially love.

Faith, not religion, just belief, because it allows us to accomplish more than we would otherwise be capable of. Belief in a deity or deities, belief that we can achieve the impossible, believe in ourselves, believe in others. Faith can be found at the heart of our motives.

Conflict and faith. Our actions and our motives. Those would be my subjects of choice.

Ask me again tomorrow and I might change my mind. I don't like being chained. Occasionally bound for a short time, sure, but not shackled.
