To be fair (ha) to Ms Rowling, there's a big difference between her ripping off LeGuin's young-student-goes-to-wizardry-school idea, and actually borrowing significant chunks of her work verbatim, fiction or not.

I think the situation's a little different in Rowling's case though. The guy is blatantly publishing a book with "Harry Potter" in the title.
