put a url in your signature line?

I've seen quite a few in signature lines but for the life of me, I can't figure out how to do it so that it isn't as long as I am tall! Most people have the tag line "blog" and when you click it, it'll take you to the persons blog.

How do you get the short version? I can't find it.

Thanks for the information.

Write what you wish: My Blog about Progress, Music and such.
Copy the URL you wish to hyperlink. (Right click, copy, preparing to paste)
Highlight what you wrote, click the hyperlink button in the message box.
A small box will pop up asking "Please enter your URL..."
You paste the URL you wish: http://lonesomethought.wordpress.com In the box.
Then you hit OK
One some computers, the code with show: My Blog about Progress, Music and such.
Or some just do the hyperlink: My Blog about Progress, Music and such.

Preview or save.

Scratch that. One second.

I think you double hyperlinked it.

Remove and try again.

Take off the "" of the front and the "" of the rear. (If you can see the code in the message box)

Though, I have no idea why you're linking that for a writing forum. Whatever.
