My ego is fragile
my empathy brittle

my rage is delivered
on coffee-breath spittle

I'm gray at the top
and soft in the middle

Who will weep for me?

My view of the world is
privileged and narrow

Manifest Destiny
rests in my marrow

I am the one who with
gun beat the arrow

Who will sleep with me?

I like it. The tempo, meter, and rhythm are excellent. The poem is witty.
