ZOMBIE PIRATE WRITING WEEK DATE ANNOUNCEMENT!
Are you ready for the funnest, most challenging writing event of the year?
The 3rd Annual Zombie Pirate Writing Week is coming 15th - 22nd September 2021!
About the event:
Zombie Pirate Publishing lays down the challenge for YOU to create a 12,500-15,000 word novelette in a single week!
We announce the theme and genre at the start of the event.
There is an online community you can join: https://www.facebook.com/groups/927322637728156
Here you'll find updates, share your progress, and submit your novelette for consideration for publication in a book of the best stories!
Most of all, it's a place to have fun with other writers.
So far we've created two great books of tales from the 2019 and 2020 challenges.
If you'd like to learn what makes a winning entry, or to enjoy great dystopian or science fiction tales, check out

This is legit. I entered last year and am one of the stories in The Ringed Giant. It was a fun challenge.

This sounds like a lot of fun! Some of the best stuff I've written has been in response to challenges.

However, 12,500-15,000 words in a week might be too high a bar for me. I can do that on a first draft, but something I'd show others? Eeeek!

It was the challenge that inspired me last year. It dropped at just under 15,000 words and founded my Near Earth series, which has three published pieces with this one. If you'd like to read it, the story is The Bastard's Price in The Ringed Giant.
