Ah, but that's on Waterstone's website. Which is a totally different thing from being able to order it in a Waterstone's store. Which, again, is quite a different matter from it being on display in a Waterstone's store. Unless Legend/YWO offer sale or return at favourable rates (favourable, that is, to Waterstone's) then I can't see it happening. I used to work in a Waterstone's store, by the way. Things may have changed in the last few years but when I was an employee, I doubt I would even have been allowed to order a YWO/Legend Press type POD book even for a single custoimer order.
Exactly, and I also wonder what Waterstones take is on a £5.99 book, given YWO figures
"For example, on pricing, one of YouWriteOn’s writers, below, received interest from a Waterstones to stock her book and informs us the manager upped his order because he thought our book’s retail price of £5.99 was a good one. For the author’s page count, 136 pages, the author will receive a direct royalty from us of £1.28 on each copy sold of her book through a bookseller. This is directly to her with no other costs as the bookseller discount for her book – the amount booksellers receive of the book price for selling the book - and printing costs will already have been deducted."
