You know, when you want to just binge watch greatness that you told everyone about, I go to Yu Yu Hakusho or Rurouni Kenshin and as of late Attack on Titan. What about you?

Symphogear. My "anime club" (we're just a bunch of friends on Discord and the guy who owns the Discord just puts on anime when we don't have other stuff to do) binged the whole show in like a month. We will never stop joking about beef stroganoff.

It's a strange mix of Magical Girl, Mecha, and Idol anime where the magical girls transform into armored warriors and sing while they fight. It sounds like it should be too much shoved into one show, but it works, and it works well over the entire show. There's five seasons
total. The third is the weakest, but it's still pretty darn good.

Rurouni Kenshin has been ruined to me, due to the whole child porn thing, as was Attack on Titan, because of all the antisemitism. A lot of anime just...has not aged well, imo.

I could probably rewatch JoJo's Bizarre Adventure countless times. (yes I know there's the whole thing with the Nazis in part 2, but they're still painted as "these are not the good guys," so there's that). It's actually a good anime, it's so stylized and they utilize all of Araki's wild color palettes (and even some textures, like in p2). But also it's very silly so it's fun.

As for "anime that's good that you told everyone about," that's Akudama Drive. PLEASE WATCH AKUDAMA DRIVE it's "what if cyberpunk reservoir dogs" Just like JJBA, it's peak "a Japanese guy really, really, really, really likes western movies and, god, does it show." It's only 12 half-hour episodes so it's easy enough to binge in one sitting but, emotionally, it's A Lot. And no one has watched it and it's SAD!!!!

It depends on my mood, but one of my all-time favorites is Miyazaki's Princess Mononoke.

I also have a soft spot for Karin (rom com about a vampire girl who spends a great deal of her time being embarrassed by...well...just about everything, but especially about falling in love...)

Princess Mononoke is one of my absolute favorites. Though I tend to revert to One Piece and Tokyo Ghoul. There is just something about the two of them that draws me in and I have watched both of them multiple times.

Anything Tench Mayo! Especially Tench Universe.
I remember seeing that on Toonami (I am old...) but Universe was probably my favorite because it seemed to have the right tone. The OVA just took itself way too seriously and Tokyo was just too silly to take seriously, Universe seemed to hit it just right!

Blood Blockade Battlefront! Sadly, the anime remains unfinished, and is never likely to have another series, but what there is hits all the right notes for me.

I absolutely adore Attack on Titan (and still mourning its loss!).

I also love Fruits Basket a lot and will probably rewatch it soon - there's something about FruBu being able to capture the effects of trauma in its story in such a beautiful way, while also still being a romance anime at its core, that I find quite remarkable. Of course, I'll always be a ride or die for the Sailor Moon manga and anime (I enjoy the 90's version, but love Crystal's dedication to adapting the manga as is). Again, underrated as an exploration of trauma/children having to deal with stuff they shouldn't have to. Ha, I guess that's a common theme here.
