Wipf and Stock Publishers

I got an offer to publish my book from Wipf and Stock. However, they require you to pay $2 per page for typesetting and they do not take care of copyediting. Is that a typical practice with some publishers?

Wipf and Stock is a legitimate academic and scholarly publisher--but lately they also do vanity.

This is not an offer you should accept.

Thanks, I thought that was fishy especially since all I sent was a proposal and no sample. At least with Hendrickson they liked the query and requested a full proposal and sample chapter for further consideration.
