Krampug is quite adorable. But if it opens its mouth and a Gene Simmons tongue periscopes out, I'm retracting that opinion.

Speak for yourself! The tongue would be a new level of awesome.

Skiing Krampus! (although you have to wonder how he's managing to keep the skis on his hooves *g*)

I just want to say, the current holiday image, with the alien ship decorating the tree is my all time favorite!

Now I feel like the season has begun!

Okay, so it's not a Krampus pic, but the UFOs decorating the forest is my favorite image used every year. :e2cheer:

Same! (Although the other UFO Christmas pic is also very good.)

Out of curiosity (honestly, not a complaint, just a question) -- how come the top images change so often during the holidays? It seems like sometimes we get 3 different pics a day. Isn't keeping up with the changes exhausting?

It's probably automated.

Not that I wouldn't put it past Mac to be cackling malevolently somewhere while sliding hideous Krampii onto our screens.

I second the malevolent cackling! Would also like to join in. :D

I really like this Krampus, it's the closest to the "real" one in my mind. We used to have a Krampus running after us kids in the village, and Saint Nicholas was tagging along (not running), and he gave us mandarines, gingerbread, and the local brioche shaped like a little man that we only have at this time of year (Mannala).

We also heard the same gruesome tale every year about three boys being sold to the butcher, cut up and stored in brine, before being revived by St Nicholas. And patched together in the right order, I suppose.

"Now, St Nick SAID he put them all together right, but I swear to God, Jimmy's got Billy's right arm."

"Momma, how long've I had this birthmark?"

"Since you got Jimmy's right buttcheek, baby."

 Exactly that. The story never went into specifics, i.e. we were never told if the kids were super-glued back together, or if St Nick used the goold ol' thread and needle method, or, dunno, double-sided tape or something. And obviously, there's Billy's Jimmy's Bljimly's right arm issue.

You can imagine what was going through my and my mates' mind. :evil

So gruesome, much awesome!

Heh. The guy in Krampus's basket today doesn't look properly terrified. He looks like he's pressed Krampus into service to provide him with a ride to wherever he's going.
