I checked on that, Crystal, and came across this message:

You are seeing this ad because one of the websites that you visited uses the BlogRolling.com service to provide links to other websites to its visitors. When you follow one of these links, you see an advertisement on the top of the page, like the one that lead you to this page. If you don't wish to see these advertisements, simply click the convenient "Remove this ad" link on the right hand side of the advertisement.

I tried the convenient "Remove this ad" link and it appears to have worked, on that one ad, that one time. Next time, the ad was back. IMHO, it's a small enough price to pay for the otherwise "free" scroll program.

Yeah, blogrolling.com added ads. It's not for the scrolling bit though. It's for the blogroll itself.

Added, but it's not very clear. Any tips? Actually I'm not sure if it's better that way, viewers might scroll to see what's there.

I've managed to change the backound colour to show all names clearly and added this thread to my signiture. Thanks

Shara, if you go into Appearance, then Widgets and add the Text widget and paste the html in, that should work.
