So while we wait, I figured I'd post my own contribution to creepy song lyrics. This is one I'd venture almost everyone has heard at some point in their lives, but if you're like me, you never really stopped and thought about the words themselves. The tune is so light and catchy that most people don't. It's not about a town legend, but it's close enough for the spirit of things.

But seriously, as much as I'm anxiously awaiting the results, I can't imagine how much work it must be to read all the entries and make the judgments.

Sheila made a good point. These are novellas the judges have to read--not short stories. And I know they want to be fair by giving each one enough time.

Not sure if my story is very good. So, I have plenty of patience, take your time judges. I'll be over here in the shadows, watching the angry mob and staying out of there line of vision, just in case they get carried away.
