Suggestions for a fantasy frontier town name

A boom-town of sorts. Really it is just spill-over from the Keep as the number of expeditions has caused over-crowding. Like the base camp at Mount Everest or Deadwood just starting.

The place is on the borderlands. Remote and dangerous, but also with an air of excitement around the place due to the recent discoveries.

This really depends on your world's/culture's naming conventions.

Do they name cities after important people - say, a monarch, or whoever was wealthy enough to fund the expedition that led to the founding of the town? (Georgetown, Marysville, Fort Bob?)

Do they name things for religious ideals or from holy texts/mythology? (Penitence, Angel's Grace?)

Do they name like they did in the American frontier - whoever named it, for whatever reason? (Discovery, Newfort, Dead Dog?)

The naming convention is unique. Almost the way a corporation would brand a product for maximum appeal.

Discovery is good. So is Penitence.

After the founder's wife or daughter also seemed to be a craze:

Chastity, Beryl, Geneva, Myrtle, Winifred, Constance, Juliet - quite like Myrtle Creek myself might use that for something.

Or small Scottish Towns (I live about 6 miles from Dallas, Elgin and a variety of other Frontier Towns that made it far bigger than the original). On that note: Kinloss, Forres, Fogwatt, Rothes, Aberlour, Drainie, Duffus, Grantown, Lhanbryde, Brodie, Findhorn, Cromarty, Culbin, Nairn.

Tweak it to include old country names or girls names from your world.

You could let geography inspire you. Fifty Lakes, Bitter Springs, Ten Thousand Willows, Camelback Ridge, Seven hills, Misty Hollow, etc.

or keep it simple: Upper Keep or New Keep

Fort Fortune, or just Fortune. Wildston. Or steal from other languages while you're gluing words together - Caernaur (fortress and gold) might work, or Schwertschloss (sword and castle).

Fortune is one I like. Same for Prospect and Gantry.

What about:

Goss
Revenant

Or, for a rowdy boom-town, perhaps a little too close to the Keep:
'Keep It Down'?

Name it for an original settler, or a local landmark.
