Searching for an e-book...

I just found out that an e-book has been written and published (? - is that the right word?) based on people and places that I know. I'd like to read it, but I have no idea who published it or how to track it down. All I know is the author's last name and the general concept of the book.

Does anyone have any ideas how to track it down? I've done Google searches, but come up with nothing.

Can't do much without knowing more specifics, but have you tried Googling the author, then searching for contact info and contacting the author directly? That's what I'd try first. Or perhaps your local librarian can help, if s/he knows anything about e-books.
